The tourney being played for the Late Jimmy Nagarwala Trophy will witness first-day action among two teams each from Pune and Kolhapur who would be playing as `A' and `B' sides.

The forthcoming academic exams has restricted the entries to just four with Sangli, Satara and Nashik crying-off. However, with no word from Solapur till late Thursday evening, the organisers have kept their fingers crossed for their arrival.

The tourney being conducted on a round-robin basis is being sponsored by New Ball Bearing Company. Meanwhile, Maharashtra have been placed in pool `D' for the Senior Nationals, scheduled to begin from March 11.
