MUMBAI, FEB 26: Police today arrested two gangsters in connection with the murder of one Mukhtar Ahmed alias Bhura at Mankhurd earlier this week.Sub-inspector Vilas Gangwane said the two gangsters, identified as Mohammed Sayed and Mohammed Mosim Khan, were nabbed at Sanjay Gandhi National Park at Borivli. The two were moving around suspiciously in the park, Gangwane added.
During interrogation, the gangsters confessed that they, along with two of their associates, had stabbed Ahmed at Mankhurd on Thursday evening. The body was dumped amid the mangrove swamps along the Mumbai-Pune Road, about a kilometer from Mankhurd station.
Investigations have revealed that the gangsters went to the victim's house on Thursday evening, called him out on some pretext and stabbed him five times in the chest and abdomen, police said. The two accomplices of the arrested accused have been identified as Nasiullah Hasan alias Chottu and Salim Ahmed alias Khalil.
Further investigations are being carried out by a specialattached to Zone 10 and Shivaji Nagar police station under the supervision of senior inspector Ambadas Pote and Sunil Deshmukh.
