In the semi-final matches, fourth seed Sandeep Kirtane played impressive tennis to upset Vijay Kannan 7-5 6-2 while Vinod Sridhar put paid to the hopes of Calcutta-based third seed Saurav Panja 6-2 7-5.

The four players will have to battle it out again in the finals of the men's doubles where the top seeded pair of Kirtane and Panja will clash with the second seeded duo of Kannan and Sridhar.
