March 1: Punit Mishra (10), a student of Hindi High School, Ghatkopar, is sure that the hair on the burnt patch of his head will grow again. He shows no signs of illness, but his grandfather is anxiously awaiting the medical report and a re-examination on March 3 at Rajawadi Hospital.
On Saturday evening, Punit was immersed in pre-Holi revelry with his friends in his building compound when two youths sprinkled colours on the children. They rubbed some powder on Punit's head. Later, the boy complained of itchiness and was admitted to Rajawadi hospital when clumps of hair on the affected part started coming apart. He was treated for burns and discharged but began vomiting in the night, necessitating a second trip to hospital. He was discharged at 1.30 pm today.
