New Delhi, Mar 1: Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee today said she will discuss the prospects of her party joining the ministry once the Bengal package was implemented.``We are waiting for implementation of Bengal package. There is already a commitment for it. We are waiting for it. Once it comes we can discuss on this (participation in the ministry),'' she told a private TV channel.Terming the 1999-2000 budget as `pro-people', she said ``I cannot say this budget is bad. One cannot please everybody. This budget has been prepared after lot of hard work and it was due to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee that the budget has emerged a pro-people." She, however, said Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha should look into some areas like hikes in income tax surcharge and medicine prices.
Meanwhile in Calcutta, party spokesman Sudip Bandopadhyay on return from Delhi said the party has kept open the option of joining the Vajpayee government though no final decision has been taken.``We had stated thatTrinamool Congress is not keen to join the ministry. That decision can be reconsidered now,'' he said, adding the party's working committee will take a final decision in the matter.
