Youth throws bomb on friends after drinking binge

NEW DELHI, March 3: Holi bonhomie turned sour for a group of youngsters when one them threw a bomb at his friends following an arguement in Sangam Vihar. Yusuf has been arrested and a case has been registered for attempted murder and for the violation of the Arms Act. The incident took place around 5 p.m. when Yusuf was dancing with three of his friends following a drinking binge. They apparently got into an arguement. Yusuf went to his house, a few blocks away, only to return with two hand bombs.One of the two bombs exploded near Yusuf's foot, injuring him. His friends escaped unhurt. Yusuf was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital, where he was discharged after medical aid. The unexploded bomb has been confiscated by the police. Copyright © 1998 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
