Power tariff gaps shroud Indo-Pak agreement

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
ISLAMABAD, March 12: Pakistan has said power sale to India would be possible only after an agreement is reached on "appropriate tariff", pointing towards serious differences of opinion on the issue.

The Pakistani power minister, Gohar Ayub Khan, who conceded there were major gaps between the tariff proposals mooted by the two, expressed hope that the issue could be sorted out when the power officials of both sides meet in Islamabad later this month.
