PCMC's `old memento' for Nepal team

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, March 12: The strained relations between Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Hanumant Bhosale and Municipal Commissioner Ganesh Thakur again surfaced during the recent visit of a delegation from Lalitpur Municipal Corporation in Nepal to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation today.

The first citizen alleged that the administration failed to intimate him in advance that the delegation from Nepal headed by Lalitpur Mayor Buddhiraj Vajracharya was to visit the corporation.

Bhosale said that neither any corporator nor any elected office-bearer was informed in advance about the visit. Bhosale added that he was informed about the visit only last evening.

Bhosale presented a memento to his counterpart from Lalitpur who reciprocated the gesture. However, he said it was an `old memento' fished out from the corporation shelves. Bhosale also did not join the guests for a lunch hosted at Durgadevi Hills.
