Ranade rescues NCC

MARCH, MUMBAI 13: National Cricket Club (NCC) scored 180-3 in 48 overs against Young Friends in the quarter-finals of the Young Comrade Shield cricket tournament, conducted by MIG Cricket Club at Cross Maidan today.

National, batting first, lost three wickets for 46 runs before these two came together and saw the day through. They added 134 runs in 42.5 overs for the unbroken fourth wicket. Ranade's knock of 64 was studded with seven fours in 122 balls while Dani hit nine fours in his 104 balls.

Brief scores: National CC 180-3 in 48 overs (Atul Ranade batting 64, Amit Dani batting 78) vs Young Friends. Rajasthan CC 138-5 in 45 overs (Vikram Tarvi batting 37, Jagdhish Shetty 3-32) vs MIG CC Parsee Gymkhana 176-4 in 50vers (Rashid Doliwalla 46, Amrish Shah batting 64, K Daruwala batting 33) vs Shivaji Park Youngstaer's Shivaji Park Gymkhana 157-6 in 51 overs (Amit Pagnis batting 58, Shreyas Khanolkar batting 38, Amol Rane 30) vs PJ Hindu Gymkhana
