Warasia land acquisition ordered

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, March 25: Assistant Collector Mona Khandar has ordered acquisition of 5,200 sq ft of land along with partial construction on it in city survey number 4186 in Warasia following breach of allotment terms by allottees.

Four Sindhi migrants from Sindh Amardas Topandas Gebandas Golani, Ratnaben Gumanmal, Laxmiben Murlidhar Sharma and Harichandra Ramchandra Jagyasi had been leased a total of 5,200 sq ft of land for a period of 90 years in 1970 for construction of residential houses.

One of the terms of allotment was that the lessee would not transfer or sell the land to any third party without prior permission of the district authorities and could use the land only for the purposes for which it had been allotted, said a Warasia resident Laxmanbhai R Meghani in a complaint with the Assistant Collector.
