Minister to chair house
Industry Minister Suresh Chand Mehta will chair an open house to be held on April 23 to resolve various pending issues relating to industry. Those having any grievances or pending issues relating to any department should send a written application addressed to the commissioner and general manager, district industry centre at A-6, Bahumali Building, Nanpura. Four copies of the application should reach the office before April 5.

By-poll directive
In view of the forthcoming civic by-elections for ward No 31 and Songadh Nagar Panchayat ward No 5, election officer and District Collector Sangeeta Singh has asked political parties to follow the directives issued by state election commission. Providing details, she said use of loud speakers on vehicles, rallies and public meetings will be allowed only between 6 am to 10 pm. However, parties will have to seek permission from authorities concerned. Registration numbers of vehicles used for electioneering will also have to be submitted. Legal action including seizure of vehicle will be initiated if the directive is violated.

Voters' list
All those who have completed 18 years of age as on on January 1, 1999 have been directed to register themselves on voters' list. A release issued by collectorate said a primary voter list will be issued on April 10 after which a period of one month will be given for addition and modifications in the list. A special drive will be launched on April 25 along with May 8 and 9 to register voters' name. Twelve senior officers have been appointed as voters registration officer for the purpose.

BDMA talk
The Bharuch District Management Association, Bharuch, will organise an evening talk on `Organisational Leadership' by R L Bhatia, Executive Director, Centre for Change Management on Friday. The talk will be held at the GNFC Corporate Building Auditorium, Bharuch, at 6 pm.
