NEW DELHI, MARCH 25: Moti Ram of SBOP and Manohar Lal of BOB were leading with three points each at the end of the third round of chess competition in the sixth inter-bank (northern region) sports meet, organised jointly by Punjab and Sind Bank and Indian Bank, at Karnail Singh Stadium here today.

In badminton, K G Saxena of RBI entered the semi-final beating Parveen Madan of Punjab National Bank 15-10, 15-5.

Sonnet prevail
Half centuries by Pramod Dobal (57 n.o) and Yashpal Singh (54 not out) and some good bowling by Rohit Suri (3/24) helped Sonnet CC beat Madan Lal Cricket Academy by 8 wickets in the Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA League Cricket tournament.

A century of 103 runs by Vinod Sharma and good bowling by Mushtaq Malik 3/46 helped Rex Remedies XI beat Venus CC to enter the quarter-final of the XIth Nawab-Rex Remedies Cricket Cup tournament.
