CHANDIGARH, MARCH 25: The officials of the Chandigarh Olympic Association (COA), who accompanied the Chandigarh contingent during the just concluded fifth National Games held at Imphal, were irresponsible in conducting their duties. This has been stated in the report submitted by the officials of the Chandigarh Sports Department and the Sports Authority of India (SAI), working with the Chandigarh Administration, who also accompanied the contingent, to the Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration.

According to the report, the chef-de-mission Inderjeet Singh Sandhu, who had a brief stay at the games, handed the charge to AK Chopra, who was least concerned about the welfare players. The other COA officials made merry while the sportspersons had to suffer, said the report.
