NEW DELHI, MARCH 26: Manoj Prabhakar is getting himself involved in active cricket once again, after a lapse of three years. This time, the former India all-rounder will be extending his support to the Veterans' Cricket Association of India who are planning to hold the inaugural Asia Cup, involving India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (UAE), during April 19-24 in Ghaziabad. He will also be donning the white flannels once again and represent India in the tournament.Supporting the cause of veteran cricketers who are in need of financial help, Prabhakar said he was involving himself with the Veterans' Cricket Association of India (with R S Pareek as its secretary) as ``it is a genuine body which is concerned with the welfare of former cricketers.'' ``If the association makes a profit from the tournament, we will set aside a part of it to help needy sportspersons, who will be decided by a panel,'' he said.
Prabhakar said the association will also hold a series of one-day matches between the veterans of India and Pakistan soon after the Asia Cup.
