Loot Vadodara: Seven youths armed with lathis looted jewellery worth about Rs 35,000 from the house of one Ganpatbhai Solanki, in Maxi village in Savli taluka in the wee hours of Sunday. According to Solanki, the youths claimed to be policemen and sought to search his house for some hidden narcotics. However, when Solanki let them in, they looted the jewellery and locked him inside before fleeing. Police said a case of loot had been registered and search for the accused was on.Vehicle stolen A Hero Honda motorcycle (GH-6-HH-6523) was stolen from near Swaminarayan Mandir area, the police said on Sunday. Body recovered The Umra police, on Sunday afternoon, recovered the dead body of an unidentified middle-aged man with his head severed off from the body. The body was recovered from a sugarcane field at around noon on Sunday and while the head of the victim was missing, the remaining part of the body was found cut by a sharp-edged weapon. Umra PI C K Chaudhary has registered a case under sections 302, 201 and 114 of the IPC. Chaudhary stated that more than one person could be involved in the crime.
