Addressing the 50th annual convention of Hindi Sahitya Sammelan at Gujarat Vidyapith which is being held in Ahmedabad, today, he said the overall development of the country was linked to the development of Hindi language and all the national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave, had made efforts in its promotion and propagation among the people of our great company.

Gujarat Vidyapith vice-chancellor Ramlal Parekh said the Hindi language was not only the Rashtra Bhasha but a symbol of national integration as well as pride among the citizens of India. Bharatiya Bhasha Sanskritik Sansthan director Ambashankar Nagar also spoke.

Parekh will be felicitated on the concluding day of the convention on Tuesday.
