VADODARA, March 28: A general medical camp was organised in village Chalasan on March 21 in north Kadi area by ONGC's Mehsana project. Dr S C Sindhi, Dr R B Paty, Dr P N Mathur, Dr D K Naik and Dr Sadhna Nandurkar examined nearly 600 patients. Medicines for primary ailments worth nearly Rs 60,000 were distributed free to the needy villagers. C Lal, Group General Manager (Mehsana Project), V K Jain, Deputy General Manager (D), M L Bhatia, Deputy General Manager (Civil), Pradeep Sahariya, Deputy General Manager (P&A), Sikand Khelkar, incharge CTF (mhn) and other senior officers were present for the medical camp. The paramedical staff of the project also rendered voluntary service at the camp.COMPUTER PARK: THE Officers' Club of ONGC, Vadodara in association with Vijay Computer Academy is setting up a computer park. This centre will offer six short-term courses, Office Automation, Oracle & Developer 2000, Visual Basic, SCAC-1, SCAC-2 and Programming (FoxPro & C).
WORKSHOP: THE Well Stimulation Services of ONGC at Saij base, Ahmedabad recently set up a fully equipped workshop. N Lal, Executive Director inaugurated the workshop at a function, which was attended by N M Ojha, General Manager (operations), A K Agrawal, Deputy General Manager (production) and other senior officers of WSS.
The workshop has the capabilities of repairing highly specialised coil tubing huts which consequently reduce 10 to 20 per cent of the workover jobs. Service and repair of other specialised equipment like inflatable packers, velocity string tools, among others, can also be carried out by this workshop. Lal also inaugurated four 3-D educational models for the demonstration and training of personnel who are deployed on these highly skilled jobs like fracturing operations, coil tubing operations, gravel pack and view propped fracturing.
Bus stands: ONGC's Ankleshwar Project, the oldest and largest oil field of ONGC, recently undertook construction of bus stands, water huts, supply of water to a number of villages, repair of schools, crematorium, and organised medical camps. A function was held by the sarpanches of Kanwa and Khojbal villages of Vagra taluka recently to felicitate ONGC Officers. Col K B Vohra, Group General Manager (proj) P K Sharma, General Manager (P&A) and other senior officers of the Project attended the function.
