Man's body recovered
Surat: The Umra police, on Sunday afternoon, recovered the dead body of an unidentified middle-aged man with his head severed off from the body. The body was recovered from a sugarcane field at around noon on Sunday and while the head of the victim was missing, the remaining part of the body was found cut by a sharp-edged weapon. Umra PI C K Chaudhary has registered a case under sections 302, 201 and 114 of the IPC. Chaudhary stated that more than one person could be involved in the crime.Found dead
The dead body of an unidentified 12-year-old boy was recovered from the compound of Shanabil Food Products at Unagaam on Sunday morning. Mohammed Yakub Memon, the owner of the food factory, reported the matter to the Sachin police, who took the body into custody and sent it to the New Civil hospital for an autopsy. With no external injury marks visible, a case of accidental death under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station.
Suicide
One Jagdish Jetha Kaneriya (21), a resident of Laxminagar area of Varachha died, while being treated at the Sudip hospital after he consumed an insecticide in his room on Saturday evening. Although the police have still not ascertained the exact cause of the extreme step, a case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the Varachha police station.
Sanctuary on fire
Vadodara: Fire broke out, on two occassions, in the black buck sanctury located in Sunderpura village near here on Sunday. According to the fire brigade personnel, only dry bushes were burnt in the fire incidents which broke out around noon and later around 5 pm in the eastern area. No animal was injured as the fire could not spread beyond an acre in both the cases, officials said. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
