525 teachers to observe hunger strike today

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, March 28: The Nav Niyukt Adhyapak Union, Punjab, has decided to intensify its agitation from tomorrow, with 525 union members observing hunger strike.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of attempt to commit suicide against one of the activists Gurcharan Singh, who has been sitting on a hunger strike.

The police sources said that after a medical examination Gurcharan Singh's condition was reported to be serious. He has been hospitalised, they added.
