A function was organised by S. S. Jain Sabha in Sector 18 under the guidance of Jitender Muni Ji Maharaj, to mark the occasion. The function was presided over by Vir Chand Jain and the flag was unfurled by Mahima Wati Jain. The teachings of Lord Mahavira were discussed as bhajans and songs were sung on the occasion.

The chief guest on the occasion was the local Member of Parliament Satya Pal Jain.
