One killed, another injured in East Delhi fight

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, March 28: A fight between two brothers at their house in Kailash Nagar in East Delhi late last night left one of them dead, while the other was seriously injured.

According to the police, 24-year-old Manoj was a drug addict and often quarreled with his family over this habit. Last night he picked up a fight with his father for money to buy smack. A fight ensued with his younger brother, Rajesh, who hit him on head with an iron rod. Manoj in turn stabbed Rajesh with a pair of scissors.

``The family rushed Rajesh to Lok Nayak Hospital, leaving Manoj at home under the impression that Manoj's head injuries were not serious. When we reached their home, we found Manoj lying dead,'' the Gandhi Nagar Police said. Rajesh is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of murder against Rajesh and another of attempt to murder against the deceased and are making further inquiries.
