MARGAO, March 28: Fiery bowling by Abey Kuruvilla helped Elf Lubricants, Mumbai lift the Arlem Trophy with an easy eight -wicket win over All India Associate Bank (AIAB) in the final of the 23rd All India Arlem Trophy Invitation Cricket Tournament here today.Electing to field, Elf bundled AIAB for a paltry 121 runs in 32.1 overs. Devendra Pal Singh 64 (4x4, 3x6), hero in AIAB's semi-final win over Indian Overseas Bank, stood among the ruins. Kamlesh Divakar (27) was the only other batsman to cross double figures.
Kuruvilla, who was declared the Man of the Match, was the most successful bowler claiming three wickets by conceding 28 runs.
In reply, Elf reached the target in 22.3 overs with a fruitful 55-run third wicket partnership between Sushant Manjrekar (38: 4x4, 1x6) and Amol Muzumdar (24 n.o.). Manjrekar was declared the tournament's Best Batsman.
