NEW DELHI, March 28: Karnataka opener J Arun Kumar struck an unbeaten 184 to pilot Indian Airlines to a fantastic five-wicket win over the hosts in the final of the third Roshanara Pepsi Cup at the Roshanara ground here today.Chasing an imposing victory target of 333 in 50 overs, Airlines, riding on Arun Kumar's masterly knock, romped home with four overs to spare. Arun Kumar struck 20 fours and four sixes in his 151-ball knock.
Arun was concerned in three useful stands 68 for the first wicket with skipper Vijay Dahiya, 64 for the second with Onkar and 146 for the third with Shafiq Khan (66: 2x4, 2x6, 64b). Arun was declared the man of the match for his tremendous effort.
Earlier, put in to bat, Roshanara were helped to a large extent by two Haryana players -- Parinder Sharma (101: 8x4, 128b) and Vijay Yadav (85: 11x4, 3x6, 46b). The two added 124 for the second wicket. Sonu Sharma was the most successful bowler, claiming three for 66.
