Revenue staff stir affects work

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, April 5: Routine work at the district collectorate was partially hit here on Monday with about 600 class III employees going on a mass casual leave on the call given by State Revenue Class III Employees' Federation. A total 10,000 class III employees staged the protest in the State to press for their pending demands.

Leaders of the district unit of the federation, including Natwarsinh Vansdiya, S K Thakkar and Arvind Chandpura said that their token strike was complete and that the federation members would go on an indefinite strike from April 12, as already announced, if their demands would not met till then. They said though the State government had assured them that their demands would be accepted soon, nothing had been done till date.
