ADMK pulls out of panel
AIADMK today took yet another step to distance itself from the Vajpayee government by announcing its withdrawal from the coordination committee of the BJP and its allies. AIADMK, however, stopped short of announcing that it was withdrawing support of its 18 members in the Lok Sabha to the BJP-led coalition. The withdrawal from the coordination committee was announced in a statement by the office-bearers of the party including its general council chairman V.R. Nedunchezhian.
