File missing
A file containing several important documents has reportedly disappeared from the Home department of the UT Secretariat. The police have registered a case. The file pertained to Sita Ram, working as clerk in the Secretariat. Police sources say the file also contained documents about a Vigilance report, which had reportedly recommended the termination of his services some time ago.

Case registered
The police have registered a case against D. S. Multani, an Assistant director of Incan in Sector 20. The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Sector 45 resident Rupali Shah.

Cheating case n Sector 39 resident Jatinder Kumar, who allegedly furnished a fake affidavit to obtain a booth, was booked by the police and a case of cheating was registered against him to obtain a booth in the city, landed in trouble today. The police have registered a case of cheating against him.

An unidentified cyclist was injured when he was reportedly hit by an unknown vehicle on the road separating Sectors 40 and 41. He has been admitted to the PGI. A case has been registered.

Sector 29 resident Usha Garg reported that her house has been burgled and the thieves decamped with Rs 7,000, while she was away. And in another incident, Roopnagar resident Joginder Pal has reported to the police that his truck CHW-8207 has been stolen from the Transport Area. The police have registered a case.
