Minor clash in Jehangirpuri
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, April 9: The police registered a case of rioting in Jehangirpuri after a minor clash between two communities today. According to the police, there were no casualties. No arrests have been made so far. Eyewitnesses reportedly told the police that a group of men belonging to the Valmiki caste asked some strangers why they were standing in their area. A group of Punjabi men who were standing nearby apparently thought that the comment was directed at them and picked a fight. The tussle ended in stone-throwing.Copyright © 1999 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
