Man kills brother after dispute
A labourer was allegedly stabbed to death by his younger brother on Thursday night in Nabi Karim. Kishan Mehto (45) worked as a contract labourer with a daily newspaper. He lived with his brother Bheem (32) in Ram Nagar. According to the police, the brothers got into a dispute over money and Bheem allegedly stabbed Kishan and killed him. The Nabi Karim police have registered a case of murder and are now looking for Bheem, who is absconding.

Farmer tries to strangle neighbour
A farmer was arrested on Thursday in Nangloi for allegedly trying to strangle his neighbour. According to the police, Arvind Kumar's cow had strayed into Raj Singh's fields and destroyed some crop. An enraged Singh later went to Kumar's house, with two associates, and got into an argument. The men allegedly grabbed Kumar and beat him up. Singh next allegedly took off Kumar's lungi and tried to strangle him with it. Kumar somehow managed to escape. Singh has been booked for attempt to murder, but his associates managed to get away.

2 pushed off cycle in Mehrauli, robbed
A resident of Rai Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) was robbed of Rs 8,930 by three people in Mehrauli on Wednesday night. Raju -- who is a gardener at Sood Farm in Chandanhola -- was on a bicycle with his brother-in-law Mukesh Chand. The cash, which belonged to the farm-owner, was being brought from the owner's Maharani Bagh office and was to be distributed as salaries the next day. When the two reached Yogeshram Gate on Chandanhola Kharag Road, three youths in their 20s stopped them, pushed them off the cycle and forced them to hand over the money.
