Jogender stars for South Delhi

NEW DELHI, April 9: A rich haul of six wickets by left-arm spinner Jogender Singh and an excellent knock by Rajesh Boora (85) enabled South Delhi Club beat Jupiter Club by 10 runs to enter the pre-quarter-final of the third Hari Ram Aggarwal memorial tournament at MCD Sports Club.

Electing to bat, South Delhi scored 198 for 9 in stipulated overs. Rajesh was the top scorer.

In reply, Jupiter Club were bundled out at 188. Kapil Mehta, Harmit Sethi and Harinder Dhillon were the main contributors. Joginder Singh rocked the opponents by claiming six wickets giving 34 runs.

Brief scores: South Delhi: 198 for (Rajesh Boora 85, Tilak Raj 20, Deepak Kanojiya 3 for 28). Jupiter Club: 188 (Kapil Mehta 40, Harmit Sethi 39, Haninder 38, Joginder Singh 6 for 34, Raj Kapoor 2 for 29).
