In the biennial elections held late last evening at the MCA office, Nehru Stadium, Avinash Ghatpande bagged 23 votes out of a possible 29 while Sanjay Date and Sunil Gudge received 20 and 11 respectively. The other three in the fray -- Hemant Kanitkar (Metro Club), Prabhakar More (United Sports Club) and Milind Gunjal (Telco) -- received 10, 9 and 6 votes respectively. Only 30 club representatives turned out to cast ballots out of which one vote was declared invalid.
