Strikes against sovereignty
Large segments of the international community getting high blood pressure at the US-led NATO military operations aga-inst Yugoslavia (Serbia!) because they are against the principles of international law is, frankly, irrelevant.
What about the emotional cost?
The discussion focused on relationships and both had much to say on the importance of trust, separate careers, long separations, mutual respect and so on. The picture that came through was of perfect politically correct gender equality.
Vajpayee's choice
There can be no escaping that the Vajpayee govt has lost its majority support in the Lok Sabha with the AIADMK withdrawing its support. AIADMK chief Jayalalitha's letter is qualitatively different from the one she sent to President K.R. Narayanan 13 m ago enabling him to invite Vajpayee to form a govt.
