VADODARA, April 14: A two-day workshop on, `Effective Communication Skill,'' began at the Surya Palace here on Wednesday.The workshop, organised by the Association for Stress Research and Management (ASRAM), was inaugurated by vice-president (personnel and administration) of Alembic Chemicals P M Shah. Speaking on the occasion, Shah said stress management was not only important in organisations but it also helped in self-improvement and build total quality. Shah also focussed on the three aspects of efficiency in corporate sectors. Speaking on the occasion, association chairman C N Daftuar said the centre was the only one of its kind in the country and has been working with people from different walks of life and are generally interested in stress research and management.
Daftuar said the workshop was one among a series of activities planned by the association. He said the workshop had attracted members from the corporate sector as well as from the defence section.
Stating that stress in any form emerged from miscommunication and barriers in communications, Daftuar said to prevent stress at workplaces one must communicate effectively.
