Vajpayee asked to delete foodgrain

AHMEDABAD, April 8: Federation of Gujarat Foodgrain Dealers' Association has urged Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Home Minister L K Advani to delete foodgrain from the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.Arvindkumar J Saheba, president of the association, in a letter to Vajpayee and Advani, stated that the foodgrain situation is very satisfactory for the past 10 years. Production has increased and we are in a position to export foodgrain. Prices are also steady, he said.
