In the fifth and final round Dhairya drew with his teammate Devendra Singh. He scored four points and tied with R Nagarajan of South Zone, but won the championship by virtue of better progressive score. Nagarajan defeated Anil Malvankar (WZ) on other board and took the second place with four points.
