Not deterred by the defeat in the first session, they rallied back to down Sardar Dastur `C' 21-5. Amruta Date top scored with six points while Neha Deshpande and Kalyani Puranik chipped in with four points apiece. Honey Bees have secured second place in their pool and qualify for the knockout stage.

Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SPM) eves had an easy task against Abhinav, winning 22-4. Kavita Koparkar did the bulk of the scoring with 14 points. Deccan Gymkhana eves too stayed in the race after notching up a convincing 22-8 victory against St Helena's. Eshanee top scored with 10 points.

In the boys section, SPM had no such luck. They went down to Abhinav `B' 18-24. The winners then posted yet another facile win (18-4) in the second session against Mitra Mandal. Bharati Nivas Society Club pipped PYC Gymkhana 29-14. The win keeps them in contention for the knockout stage.

The league phase nearly over, the tournament enters the knockout stage from tomorrow.
