Pakistan test-fires Shaheen
Pakistan on Thursday test-fired a surface-to-surface missile having a range of 600 km and the capacity to carry nuclear warhead, a day after it test-launched Ghauri-II.
Benazir disqualified from politics, sentenced to 5 years jail
A Pakistani court today sentenced former prime minister Benazir Bhutto to five years in jail, disqualified her from politics and fined her $8.6 million, the state-run news agency reported.
75 Kosovo refugees killed in NATO attack
At least 75 people were killed and 25 injured when two convoys of refugees were bombed during NATO air raids in western Kosovo last night even as the United States, while expressing regret over the civilian casualties, said bombing of Serbian targets would continue.
