NEW DELHI, APRIL 15: Samata Party is contemplating action against party MP and former minister Kalpnath Rai, who had on Wednesday demanded resignation of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.Party general secretary Jaya Jaitley told newsmen tonight that "though so far no disciplinary action has been taken against Rai for his anti-party and anti-government utterances, the party leadership is contemplating action against him".
A final decision in this regard will be taken on Friday, she said. Meanwhile, Samata Party president George Fernandes said the names that were being bandied about by Rai "are designed perhaps to defame them."
He said a legal notice is being served for "defamation" and claiming damages.
