MUMBAI, APRIL 15: Father Agnel boys quelled the challenge of Andheri YMCA 48-37 to win the junior boys match in the Colgate-sponsored Savio Junior Basketball Tournament at the Don Bosco School court here today.In the junior girls, Our Lady of Fatima destroyed the `B' side of Agradneya Vyayamshala 67-12 while their A side won 56-29.
Results: Boys: Fr Agnel 48 (Binoy KB 20, Anup Nair 10, Dheeraj M 6, A Avinash 6) bt Andheri YMCA 37 (Saurabh 18).
Girls: Our Lady of Fatima 67 (Ami Momaya 24, Anita Krishnan 21, Sonali D'Souza 20) bt AVM `B' 12 (Deepali Bhise 6); AVM `A' 56 (Rucha Marathe 17) bt MIG, Borivli 29 (Sonia Sequeira 15).
Sitwala prevails
Dhruv Sitwala, playing with 40 handicap, scored a break of 48 to finish his match in 35 minutes against A Mashelkar (60) in the first round of Sushil R Ruia Open Handicap Snooker tournament, sponsored by Selvel, at the Matharpacardy Club, Mazagoan. Sitwala had a break of 48.
