Archana's mother-in-law Mahendri Devi allegedly called her upstairs on Thursday morning, doused her with kerosene and lit a match. At the time of the incident, Archana's sister-in-law had gone to drop her children to school. In her statement to the police, Archana has said that Mahendri Devi would continuously harass her for Rs 1 lakh as dowry. She has not named anyone else.
