NEW DELHI, April 20: The Election Commission of India has ordered a Special Revision of Electoral Rolls of all Assembly constituencies in the NCT of Delhi. January 1, 1999 has been given as the qualifying date for eligible voters.According to the release, the draft rolls will be available in the offices of the respective Electoral Registration Officers of the 70 Assembly constituencies, between April 20 and May 20, from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on all working days. The forms to file applications for claims, objections and corrections (that is, forms no. 6,7,8 and RER-004) will be available free of cost at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officers, the release said.
Moreover, the persons who turned 18 on January 1, 1999 and whose names do not figure in the existing Electoral Rolls can file their claims in the prescribed form. Also, objections for deletion of names of persons who have died, or have shifted their residence or are no longer eligible can also be filed, the release said.
