Team to inspect underground water tanks n FOLLOWING the dramatic increase in fire incidents, Lieutenant Governor Vijai Kapoor has constituted a joint team of officers from the Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, police and Delhi Fire Service, to inspect all underground water tanks to ensure that they are in good working condition. This was decided in a meeting that he had with senior officials of the city's various civic bodies and the Principal Secretary (Home) today. Exhorting the residents to observe all necessary precautions during the summer months, he also asked the firemen to reduce their respose time and optimise the use of resources at their disposal.
