AIIMS students hold camp Prayatna, the newly formed students' group of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, organised a blood donation camp on Tuesday. This was the first of a series planned by the group to help needy patients coming to AIIMS. Over 200 units of blood was donated by students, staff and faculty during the camp.Team to inspect underground water tanks n FOLLOWING the dramatic increase in fire incidents, Lieutenant Governor Vijai Kapoor has constituted a joint team of officers from the Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, police and Delhi Fire Service, to inspect all underground water tanks to ensure that they are in good working condition. This was decided in a meeting that he had with senior officials of the city's various civic bodies and the Principal Secretary (Home) today. Exhorting the residents to observe all necessary precautions during the summer months, he also asked the firemen to reduce their respose time and optimise the use of resources at their disposal.
