Pre-rating Selection chess

The Bombay Chess Association will be organising a Pre-rating Selection chess tournament from April 28 at the Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Canteen, Sayani Road.

Interested unrated players who wish to attain FIDE's ELO-rating, should confirm their entries with an entry fee of Rs 250 per player on or before April 27 at the Zandu Canteen between 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., except on Saturday and Sunday.

Carrom tourney

The Kalyan-based Priyanka Carrom House will organise their first Thane District Ranking carrom tournament, under the auspices of the Thane District Carrom Association. The last date for entries is April 25.

Camp Notes

TheJapalouppe Equestrian Center, for the first time in India, presents European pony camps for children who love animals. They have the opportunity to participate in a pony camp, organised and conducted by a fully European team at their Talegaon centre, 40 km from Lonavla, on the Mumbai-Pune highway.

The camp will be on an all-inn basis, meaning that all meals & snacks, drinks, riding lessons, entrance fees for attraction/ water parks, movies and entertainment are included in the camp price and no additional costs will be added.

The first camp will be held from April 26 to 30. Members will be charged Rs 6,500 and non-members Rs 7,900 for the pony camp and Rs 7,500 and Rs 8,900, respectively, for the training camp. For details contact: Lorraine More on 02114 - 27134.

The Chetana Rifle and Pistol Training Academy will be conducting a basic training course in rifle shooting for students between the age group of 12 - 21 years at its shooting range at the Chetana College campus, behind Hanuman Mandir, Govt.Colony, Bandra (East).
