PUNE, April 20: Youngsters `A' overwhelmed Deccan Gymkhana `B' 57-31 in a pool B league match for the under-18 section of the Poona District basketball tournament- cum-selection trials at the Deccan Gymkhana courts here today. On virtue of better overall results both teams have qualified for the quarter final round.The highlight of the match was Youngster's key shooter, Shardul Date, who dunked in nearly half the team's score, top scoring with 26 points. Ameya Bhatt supported the scoring with 14 points.
In the boy's section, Central Park and Deccan Gymkhana `A' are the other two teams to step into the last round.
In the girl's section, Deccan Gymkhana, Sardar Dastur High School, Honey Bees `A', Youngsters and PYC Gymkhana have made it to the last eight.
