Walking festival for senior citizens at Chowpatty park

The Giants Group of Chowpatty and Nana Nani Udyan will jointly organise a `walking festival' for senior citizens on April 27 at the park, Girgaon Chowpatty, at 7 am. Minister for Cultural Affairs Pramod Navalkar will be the chief guest. Winners will be felicitated with prizes. Interested senior citizens can collect the entry forms from Nana Nani Udyan or contact Sharmistha Shah on 3648306.

WWF India to conduct camps

The WWF India has organised a volunteer training camp at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park from May 14 to May 16 for persons above 16 years of age. Registration will be open from April 26 to May 7. A conservation camp has also been organised on May 29 and May 30. The conservation camp will include activities like bunding, making fire lines and garbage removal. Registration for this will began from May 17 to May 26. For further details contact 2075142/2078105.

Lok Adalat to be held on April 25

A Lok Adalat underthe auspices of Savdhan presided by Justice S M Daud, Justice Hosbet Suresh and former director general of police S P Singh has been organised on April 25 at 5 pm at the Ramkrishna Hall, Sir Pochkhanawala Road, Worli for breaking the entire footpath and digging of the road at Worli Sea Face recently.

Biju Narayanan concert on May 1

BIJU Narayanan, well-known Malayalam playback singer, will perform for the first time in Mumbai at Shanmukhananda Hall on May 1 at 6.30 pm. He is the winner of Kerala State award, Nana Malayalam film award and Ujalla Award in 1998. The programme is being organised by the People's Arts Centre.
