Inflation dips to 71-week low
Falling prices of food articles and liquefied petroleum gas triggered a 0.43% fall in the inflation rate to touch its lowest in 71 weeks at 4.17% on April 10, from 4.60% a week earlier.
AT&T, BT to pick up 30% stake in Japan Telecom for $1.83 bn
AT&T Corp and British Telecommunications PLC entered into an agreement to acquire a 30 per cent stake in Japan Telecom Co for $1.83 billion, the companies announced on Sunday.
Govt probe into PTA dumping
The government has initiated an investigation into dumping of Purified Tetraphthalic Acid (PTA) imports from Japan. The probe has been initiated on the basis of a complaint filed by petrochemicals major Reliance Industries.
