The minimum requirements are graduation in any discipline from a recognised university and a minimum age of 25 years. Priority will be given to those who are working in social work organisations. There is no upper age limit for admission. For SC/ST candidates there is a reservation of 15 per cent and 7.5 per cent of seats respectively.

Application for admission must be made on the prescribed form available at the institute for Rs 30. A registration fee of Rs 30 should accompany the completed application.
