Traffic diversions on Tuesday

APRIL 25: A procession Ashura on the occasion of the holy festival of Mohurram will be taken on Tuesday, April 27, from Pakmodia Street along Yakub Street, Ibrahim Rahimtulla Road, J J Junction, Ramchandra Bhat Marg, Noorbaug Junction, Hong Kong Bridge and will terminate at Rehamatabad Cemetery, Mazgaon. The movement of traffic on the following roads is likely to be affected between 3 and 9 pm: Sir J J Road, I Road, Mohammed Ali Road and Mahatma Phule Market (Crawford Market).

- When the main procession crosses I R Road from west to east from Pakmodia Street and Yakub Street to reach J J and further proceeds along Ramchandra Bhat Marg, vehicular traffic along Sir J J Road, Mohammed Ali Road upto Crawford Market will be diverted totally. Accordingly, the traffic police have advised motorists to take the following routes for south/north movement: - Those wanting to go south should turn right at Khada Parsi Junction towards Nagpada junction and turn right to Bomen Behram Marg, Mumbai Central junction and leftto Dr D B Marg.

- To go north from Crawford Market, turn right at Chakla junction along Carnac Road (L T Marg), Carnac Bunder junction, P D Mello Road towards Dockyard or turn left at Sitaram building, Dr D H Road, L T Marg, Dhobi Talao and further via J S Road (Girgaon Road) or Maharshi Karve Road.
