Narain finishes second

Express News Service
Chennai, April 25: Narain Karthikeyan had to console himself with a second position after being knocked from behind in the first of the two races at the Brands Hatch circuit, in the fourth round of the Autosport British Formula-3 championship, on Sunday.

The sketchy information available here said that Narain, who had started from pole position, lost ground to Brazilian Luiano Burti after being bumped from behind by Matthew Davies.

Burti then pulled away and a mistake on Lap 4 by Narain saw the 23-year old Indian falling further behind by 10 car lengths. However, Narain, who is supported by Kingfisher, Mobil, Tata and JK Tyre, came up with blistering laps but just could not pass Burti. The distance between the two at the finish was said to be ``hair's breath''.
