NEW DELHI, April 30: The Delhi Police today claimed to have arrested one of the three alleged killers of former Air India public relations manager Hema Latha Kumari Naidu, who was found murdered in her South Delhi flat on Wednesday.While Dil Bahadur has been arrested, main accused Dileep, a Nepali domestic help employed by Naidu's family just three days before the incident, and his associate Ram Bahadur are still absconding, Joint Commissioner of Police (southern range) Amod Kanth said today. The 63-year-old Naidu, mother of a top executive of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Rama Naidu, was found strangled in her Kailash Colony flat two days ago. Rama Naidu discovered the body when she returned home in the evening.
The house was bolted from the outside and the victim's blood-stained body was lying on the floor of the kitchen. He hands and legs had been bound with a roped and a saree had been tied around her neck. The breakthrough in the case followed when one of the residents told the police that he had spotted three youths roaming around the park in front of the Naidu's house earlier on the day of the murder. Kanth said Dil Bahadur has confessed to his involvement in the murder. He has also named his accomplices.
