End exploitation of farm labour

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PATIALA, May 4: The Bahujan Samaj Morcha has sought an end to the exploitation of farm labour and factory workers and appealed to the state government help liberate these people so that they can enjoy complete freedom.

Paramjit Singh Kainth, Patiala district Convener of the Morcha, in a statement today said that the state government had failed to safeguard the interests of farm labour and factory workers as their exploitation still continued unchecked and they were still being paid a pittance for their hard work.

He said the state government had also failed to control price rise as the prices of essential commodities were sky-rocketing in the state. He appealed to the government to take stern action against hoarders to check this price rise. He also appealed to the government to strengthen the Public Distribution System so that people living below the poverty line can make both ends meet.
